A bit more about Rosie
09/02/2017
Born: 23rd May 1975 Winchester, England.

I became a self-employed artist in 2005 and have my Art-work with about 10 venues across the UK. I have a broad experience of teaching in different educational environments. I sold my first painting when I was about 15 year old. Like Picasso, I do not have a fine Art degree, however trained as an Archaeological site and find illustrator both as part of a degree in Archaeology and Sociology, and on site as an illustrator for the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. I then went on to study for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE ) in secondary Art and design. My first teaching job, in a secondary boys school, provided a large Art room with a ceramic kiln, printing press and lots of materials. I have exhibited successfully nationally, in group and solo exhibitions, the most recent, September 2017, in London as part of Femfest with SweetArt.

Art
My work is quite varied, it can broadly be described as figurative, concerned with depiction of landscape and the human form and small experiences that I need to express. Go to www.rosieburnsartist.com for a fairly comprehensive catalogue and explanation of working practice and content.
