VIII Social Distance
As lockdown measures began to ease, from June in England, street signs began to appear asking people to keep their distance. The 2m rule led to tape being stuck to pavements and shop floors at 2m intervals – people wearing masks and gloves standing on yellow, green, white lines to queue for entrance to the post office and shops. A new normal was watching people stepping into the road on narrow pavements to keep their distance – like a strange kind of urban street dance. By late June, the British government, suggested 1m was enough social distance, potentially putting wealth and reawakening of the economy, over the health of the nation? In the USA case numbers were soaring and Leicester City was the first place in England to see a local lockdown re-enforced. £45 unframed, £55 framed, please get in touch to order a framed print.
